Celebration has a striking blue-green color and soft texture. It tolerates drought and cold, and has a higher degree of shade tolerance than any other Bermuda grass.  Celebration offers landscapers, golf course designers, sports turf managers, and homeowners exceptional performance across a wide spectrum of applications.  Celebration requires less mowing and water than typical Bermuda grass varieties. It has tight runners, rhizomes, and deep roots that provide excellent sod strength.

PALISADES ZOYSIA

Developed by the University of Georgia (at Tifton, GA), Tifton 419 is a proven Bermuda variety.  It has a dark green color, very fine leaf texture, and can be mowed at heights lower than 1”.  When properly maintained, Tifton 419 is one of the most beautiful grasses available in the mid-south.  It is one of the most popular golf fairway grasses, and is also used extensively for sports fields and full-sun residential lawns.

Because of the popularity of Tifton 419, it is widely available at sod farms in the Mid-South.  Many growers try to pass off “common” Bermuda, a coarse, weed-like variety, or contaminated grass as pure Tifton 419.  This has somewhat tarnished the reputation of the variety.  At Battle Sod Farm, all of our Tifton 419 production fields have been established from certified planting stock.  This assures that when you buy Tifton 419 from Battle Sod Farm, you can be sure that you are getting what you pay for.  Through the Mississippi Crop Improvement Association, we can even provide certification documents to prove the highest standards of purity.

All Grasses are available in slabs (450 sq. ft. pallets) or big rolls (360 sq. ft.)
Slabs are 16”x24”.  Big rolls are 42”x103’.
